We recommend removing the fuse for the John Deere Link system.

On newer John Deere machinery it is possible that they get a software update from the factory over the internet due to John Deere Link which would overwrite the modified software.

In order to avoid the online updates from the factory the John Deere Link fuse needs to get pulled.

Sometimes this fuse is marked as MTG.

Below are some examples that show where the John Deere Link fuse is located:

John Deere 6155R MY2022 (Fuxe box position)

John Deere R4038 (Fuse F7 behind the seat)

John Deere 6155R MY2022 (Fuse box on the right of the driver seat)

A request to our customers

Please send photos of different John Deere machines where you could find this fuse to support@tuning24.org.

We will add those photos here in this article to make finding this John Deere Link fuse easier.

If you send a photo of a fuse position these informations would be great:

  • Model
  • Position of the fuse box
  • Fuse Ampere
  • Which fuse

Mark it on the photo or write a text like "3rd from the right".

Thank you very much.
